Hotel Information

Read about our conference hotels below. The conference rates were guaranteed only through January 10, but they will still be honored on a space-available basis. To make reservations, phone 1-800-261-9530. Be sure to tell them you are with the SACRAO Conference. If you go to the CW website to learn more about each property, please be sure to phone 1-800-261-9530 in order to book your room at the conference rate (space available). The conference rates are no longer available through web reservations.

Each paid registrant (including guests who are officially registered for the conference) who is staying in a Conference Hotel (the Lodge or the Woodlands) will receive a free pass to the Colonial Williamsburg area. This allows admission to most of the colonial buildings, events, and attractions. Guests who are not registered for the conference and/or conferees who are not staying in a Colonial Williamsburg hotel may purchase these passes at a Colonial Williamsburg ticket booth. The conference Colonial Williamsburg pass will be good for up to three days before and three days after the conference.

Williamsburg Lodge

Williamsburg Lodge

The Lodge is directly connected to the SACRAO'08 conference center and adjoins Colonial Williamsburg. The room rate at the Lodge is $126* if booked before January 10, 2008. This rate applies from three days before the conference until three days after.

The newly renovated Williamsburg Lodge offers the finest in accommodations and conference facilities. Inside, you will have the modern amenities expected from a first class conference location. Step outside and you will enter the historic world of Colonial Williamsburg. The Williamsburg Lodge, after an extensive two-year building, remodeling, and refurbishing project completed in early 2007, now comprises eight buildings interconnected by sheltered brick-paved walkways. One of the two original hotels envisioned by John D. Rockefeller Jr. for Colonial Williamsburg, the Williamsburg Lodge offers 323 attractively appointed guest rooms and suites with modern amenities, including wireless internet access in all rooms.

Always fondly regarded for its characteristic southern hospitality, the property enhancements provide guests with comfortable accommodations reminiscent of a southern family home. Guest rooms include furnishings that blend the timeless American styles of craftsmen from across the country and reflect pieces in Colonial Williamsburg’s collections. Furnishings throughout the hotel and its guest rooms are inspired by the one of the finest collections of American folk art, which is housed in the nearby Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum. The lobby, lounge, restaurant, and conference rooms are conveniently situated for all guests.

Woodlands Hotel and Suites

Woodlands Hotel and Suites

The Woodlands is located at the entrance to Colonial Williamsburg and is within walking distance of the Conference Center. Shuttles will be provided during the conference. A continental breakfast is included at the Woodlands that is not available at the Lodge. The room rate at the Lodge is $105* if booked before January 10, 2008. This rate applies from three days before the conference until three days after.

The Williamsburg Woodlands is right at the starting point of the 18th century, at the Visitor Center for Colonial Williamsburg. You can follow the Walking Trail to the Historic Area, or just hop on a shuttle. The Bridge to the Past and recreational facilities at the Williamsburg Woodlands make it a great vacation destination for any family. The kids can enjoy the pool, and all of you can relax among the deep shade and gentle silence of the pines, miles apart and 200 years away from the cares of daily life. Internet access is included.

Williamsburg Inn

Williamsburg Inn

The Lodge is directly from the SACRAO'08 conference center and adjoins Colonial Williamsburg. The room rate at the Inn is $269* if booked before January 10, 2008. This rate applies from three days before the conference until three days after.

Regarded as one of the world's great hotels, the Williamsburg Inn is the crown jewel of Colonial Williamsburg's hotels. The Inn offers each guest royal treatment. For many, it is a destination in itself. Gourmet dining, two outdoor pools (one heated for year-round enjoyment), clay tennis courts, award-winning golf, and the new Spa of Colonial Williamsburg create a memorable resort experience. Enjoy afternoon tea by the fire, or try your hand at lawn bowling or croquet. The Williamsburg Inn is decorated in an elegant English Regency style and offers 62 rooms and suites in the main building. Additional rooms are available in nearby Providence Hall Guesthouses. The Inn continues to reflect what John D. Rockefeller Jr. envisioned: a historic country inn with the most modern, gracious appointments. Colonial Williamsburg is honored that the Williamsburg Inn was the choice for overnight accommodations for the May 2007 visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, to the Historic Triangle for the 400th anniversary of the first permanent English settlement at Jamestown.
